Wedgewood at Metropolitan Golf Links, 10051 Doolittle Drive, Oakland, CA 94603

Our annual armistice remembrance luncheon features a short remembrance observance, free raffle prizes, exhibits, Wedgewood’s fabulous buffet lunch, and a chance to mingle with members and friends.

Our speaker this year is James H. Armstead, Jr., a former professor at the U.S. Naval War College and Naval Post Graduate School, and a Distinguished Visiting Professor at Virginia Military Institute who will give a first-person presentation on Ataturk (see video link).

We welcome you to share World War 1 related events, conferences, presentations or trips you have taken this year, books, films, or programs you have enjoyed, or WW1 stories of family members you would like to share. Please think of inviting friends, family members, or associates to the event. It is a great opportunity to introduce someone new to the WW1HA in casual, friendly environment with great food.

Price: $35 per person. Send your check made out to WW1HA and mail it to Sal Compagno, 640 Arlington Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94707-1642 for receipt by November 7.

Directions: Take Route 880 north or south depending on your starting point. Exit at Hegenberger Road, heading west toward the airport. Make a left at Doolittle Drive. Wedgewood will be on your right, at the Metropolitan golf course – 10051 Doolittle Drive.

Parking: Free parking in front of banquet center.
