Len's Summary: A succinct survey history of German colonial expansion and policies from 1885 until it lost its colonial possessions in the Pacific, Asia and Africa as a result of WWI. Unlike several recent studies, this one contends that German colonial policy, though undeniably harsh and racially biased, did not necessarily fore shadow the Holocaust and was not dissimilar to that of France and Britain.
